About Paul

 

Paul Gallo's education is varied and includes studying at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, an AA from Harrisburg Area Community College and MFA from Syracuse University. Paul has also attended workshops with Jason Tako, Catherine Prescott, Ron Donoughe, Cindy Baron, Al Gury, and Qiang Huang as well as conducting his own painting and drawing workshops.

 

Plein air oil painting is his primary area of interest. Painting in a representational manner, he enjoys utilizing the tactile quality of oil paints and strives to make a painting with confident brushwork, paint handling, and color. Each painting is an honest effort to create a work of art.

 

Additionally, Paul teaches painting, drawing, and design at the college level.​
